Our February book club meeting was a great time of sharing our thoughts about our featured book “The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek”. The book opened many of our eyes about the hard times for the hill folk of Kentucky and the blue people that lived there during 1936. President Roosevelt had started the Pack Horse Librarian Project for the poorest counties in Kentucky to provide them with books. These librarians were faithful all year round to provide books for their patrons. Thank you to Shanti our hostess who provided a warm, comfortable meeting place in her home.
