We had a rockin’ good time at this year’s Summer Reading Program – Libraries Rock!

Please enjoy the photos below that were taken on Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3. On Day 4, we went to the Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology in Boise and, after exploring the museum, enjoyed a picnic in the park!

Calling All Kids! Get ready to rock! Our Library Director, Robin Close, has created a Summer Ready Program that is uniquely designed for our community that is rich with rocks. The program, called Libraries Rock, runs for four days – from June 18 to June 21.

Robin has located a book for our next book club meeting: The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne. She will let book club members know when the books have arrived at our library.

At our March book club meeting, 12 of us attended (two men and 10 women). We shared our various perspectives on the characters and themes in the book, The Orphan Train, and, in turn, related them to our own experiences growing up and to modern day life. Topics included love, belonging, connection, and loss – and, of course, children.
And our thanks to Linda for the yummy treats!
