What better way to spend a cozy, chilly winter evening than curled up with a good book?! The students at the Ola School were presented with an opportunity to increase their reading skills this winter and even though the program was optional, ALL OF THE STUDENTS OPTED IN! Their reason…they want “to become really good readers.” Mrs. Close, the school librarian (and volunteer Ola District librarian) is running the program and the kids are excited!
Once a week students will put snowflakes on the tree for every day they read at home the previous week. Students also received reading logs to track their reading. The kiddos are motivated and looking forward to seeing how many snowflakes they can earn by the end of the winter.
Thanks to Mrs. Close for all of her dedication to our students and our community!
