Nine of us attended May’s Book Club Meeting. Discussion moved between our thoughts & reactions to Sejal Badani’s The Storyteller’s Secret and our reflections on challenging relationships within our own families. There was a lot of laughter and a few tears. Thanks to Aleah & Andi, we enjoyed delicious sandwich wraps, apple crisp, and blueberry muffins. Our dedicated Library Director, Robin Close, supplied the beverages.
Here are a few of the many perks of joining the book club: Friendship, caring, a break from the routine, yummy food, the opportunity to read books that you may not otherwise encounter, and a place to share ideas & thoughts without feeling foolish or inhibited. In other words, it’s stimulating, rewarding, and fun!
