The Ola Library hosts a variety of activities and fundraisers throughout the year. At the top of the list is the library’s summer reading program, the annual Sweetheart Dinner, library yard sales, and book club.
Summer Reading Program:
The Summer Reading Program is a fun and educational happening for kids of all ages. Our Library Director has created this year’s program which is called Libraries Rock and which runs for four days from June 18 to June 21. So get ready to rock!
Book Club:
Ola residents came up with the idea of a book club. This is a new and exciting opportunity for all to come together and share perspectives on a book that each member has read. Books are provided by the library, and book selection is made based on member suggestions. Membership is free!
Our book club meets monthly, at the Ola Library, on the third Saturday from 11:30 to 1:00. Please join us! Snacks, drinks, and mingling from 11:30 to noon followed by group discussion of the book.
Sweetheart Dinner:
The Sweetheart Dinner is a major fundraiser for the library and is held at the Ola Hall annually on or close to Valentine’s Day. Tables are set with heirloom place settings belonging to Ola residents. Guests are treated to an outstanding prime rib dinner complete with wine and homemade desserts.
