Yum! Potato Peel Pie at Today’s Book Club Meeting!

September 15, 2018 By Ola Lib Staff

We had a great time sharing our thoughts & reactions – generally positive – to this month’s book – The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. Thanks to Gloria, we enjoyed a short geography & history lesson about Guernsey Island, and we had a chance to actually sample a potato peel pie! And Robin and Shanti brought salad, cookies, and cake so there was plenty to go around.

The next book club meeting is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, October 20, at 11:30 AM. Based on feedback at today’s meeting, the preferred genre for next month is a mystery. Robin will work her magic and find us a good book to read. More on the book when she has located it. Please contact Robin if you are interested in attending. Everyone is welcome!
